THANKS FOR YOUR THOUGHTS!!!

Curt,
I hadn't read your latest blog when I came in last week so I want to offer my congratulations on your engagement.
Your fiancé has found a good man.
My dad use to say to me, " Don't worry about the problems, there will be a new one to replace it tomorrow".
Of course, he never meant we shouldn't try to solve our problems.
In fact, his other piece of advise was, " Take care of your customers problems and everything else will be fine".
I guess his point was not to worry. Hard to do, huh?
When I look back at 29 years in the candy business I found that most of my worry led to nowhere.
Did I succeed because I worried? I doubt it. I think I survived the business because I tried to solve problems.
Worry only cost me a mountain of sleep over the decades until I finally turned the worry faucet off.
There will ALWAYS be problems, tough competitive issues and disappointments. It's part of this business.

I think you are on the right track. You believe in your customer, are hard working, honest and diligent.
That adds up to integrity. In the end, integrity which will prevail.
You, Steve and Linda have buckets of that.
Regards, Dirk
