E-THOUGHT FOR NOVEMBER 19 2009

Good day fellow vending enthusiasts. I have been traveling all week in eastern Washington, Idaho and eastern Oregon, visiting vendors and distributors in these areas.
It amazes me that in these remote and finite markets that these companies are prospering, well if not prospering at least holding their own.
It really is a testament to the leadership and management skills of each of the companies. I mean with the economy the way that it is, they have found a way and their "niche"in order to keep their businesses fluid.
I have looked and listened to the leaders of these companies and gotten some great ideas on how to do and see things differently, that in a larger market the rest of us should be able to apply and come out a little ahead.
What really amazes me is that these companies have found and keep finding ways to make money from the same number of customers. They don't have the growth potential that larger markets depend on to increase volume. So they have to be innovative and for lack of a better word "realistic" about net profit. They seem to be doing it.
I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and time that each of these companies have afforded me over the past week! Thanks guys and I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.

Regards
Curt Wokal
