He has already successfully "bought" Evergreen Vending's loyalty and is looking to disrupt our market even more!! He and his wife Mani own a Independent Master Vend Distributorship in Northern California and has a DEEP dislike for Vistar (don't we all) Anyway i wanted to let you guys know that he is up here this week trying to get some of our and some of Vistars customers, I don't think anything good can come out of another distributor up in our market but maybe he knows something different. PEACE!!!! Curt

NEW DISTRIBUTOR PROMOTION

Hey People I need some feedback, you know I love making our customers feel like they are part of our whole process in bringing in product and deciding what sells and what does not. So I would love your help in coming up with ideas on how we can capitalize on the whole Vistar raising their prices without telling any of their customers! We would like to offer something to get them to try us and see if we would be a viable solution for them if they wanted to get out from "under" the Big "V" but we would also like to run this with a current customer appreciation deal for our customers that already are using us and know how much better and more customer oriented we are than "Big Brother" and have been devoted to us for a long time! So tell me your thoughts??? Maybe delivery's free for awhile or discounts across the board or whatever?? Let me know what would best help all of you in these difficult times!! PEACE, Curt

NOVEMBER PRICE INCREASES ???????

So......what is going on over at the Big "V" ?? If any of their customers happen to pay attention to the November Vistar catalog, they will have noticed that almost EVERY item increased in cost by .85% up to 1.25%! WTF????? What is the motivation behind this?
I mean other than we all are not making enough margin but still to just take an increase and not really notify anyone of your customers? Maybe they did inform them but nobody I have talked to was aware of it.
The only Manufacturer price increase that we are aware of for November came from Pierre. What happens when all of the Manufacturers take an increase in January?
I would like you all to know that Vend Northwest will not be taking ANY price increases the rest of the year unless it is warranted by a Manufacturer increase.
Things are soooo tight right now that it is very difficult to understand why they would choose to do this. Maybe it was a corporate directive, who knows but it must be nice!! I also want you all to know that we honor and respect all of our customers and know that we are all in this together and that is the way we will make it through this very tumultuous time in the economy!
